# Send bitcoin

To send bitcoin using the Blockstream App, you’ll need two things: a valid recipient [address](https://glossary.blockstream.com/address-bitcoin/) and enough funds in your wallet to cover both the amount you want to send and the network fee required to process the transaction.

# Send bitcoin

1.

Log in to the Blockstream app and tap **Transact**.

Select **Send** from the available actions.

**Paste** the address of the recipient or tap **Scan QR Code**, then select **Next**.

4.

Enter the amount of bitcoin you would like to send, then choose **Next**. Select **Change speed** to adjust the fee you will pay depending on the transaction's urgency. Please note that this fee is paid to bitcoin miners, not Blockstream.

5.

Confirm that the recipient address, amount, and network fee are as you intended, then **Slide to Send** to broadcast your transaction to the network.
