With the latest changes to our Lightning integration, you may notice a missing Lightning balance in the Blockstream app. Don’t worry: your funds are safe. Read this notice for more information.

You will need to transfer your Lightning node balance to on-chain while we finish our full Lightning solution.

To get started, you first need a destination—a Bitcoin address—to transfer your Lighting sats to. You can use any on-chain Bitcoin wallet you'd like. For this example and for convenience, we will use an on-chain Bitcoin receive address generated within the same wallet on the Blockstream app.

1. From the home page of the wallet where you held Lightning bitcoin, tap Transact on the bottom navigation bar, then tap Receive.

2. Choose Bitcoin as the asset to receive.

3. Copy the receive address, then return to the wallet home page.

4. Tap on your Lightning bitcoin balance, then tap Transfer Funds.

5. Paste the receive address you copied. Confirm the transaction details, then Slide to Send, and tap Ok on the confirmation popup.
